- What is the route?
- The New marathon course has a new start line, the top of TransMountain Road. Runners will make their way to Fort Bliss, run through the Austin Terrace neighborhood, past Concordia Cemetery then on to the finish line in downtown El Paso.The net elevation drop of 1,584 feet, will help runners achieve their fastest time!
- Where is El Paso?
- El Paso, Texas is located where Texas, New Mexico and Mexico meet. El Paso elevation is 3,800 feet (1140 m) above sea level with the highest peak being the majestic Franklin Mountains with an elevation of 7,192 feet.
- Who is coming to race?
- Last year's race included runners from more than 33 states and 4 countries.
- Is the course a certified Boston qualifier?
- El Paso Marathon is now a Boston qualifier race.
- How is the weather?
- According to the El Paso Weather Bureau, The sun shines 302 days per year on average in El Paso. We expect (but can’t guarantee) weather to be within 41º for the low and 67º for the high temperature.
- Who is behind this?
- El Paso Marathon Foundation is a non-profit organization that its purpose is to showcase El Paso, increase overall health awareness in the region and help other non profit organization.
- Where can I register in person?
- To register in person go to either Up and Running location, west side 3233 N. Mesa, Suite 205 in the Rudolph Plaza or the east side location at 1475 George Dieter, Suite O.
- Where can I pick up my t-shirt, bib number and timing chip?
- Pick up your t-shirt, bib number and timing chip Saturday, February 23rd at the El Paso Marathon Expo at the Judson F. Williams Convention Center from 8:00 a.m to 6:30 p.m.
There will be no race day registration or packet pick up.
- Where can people park on race day?
- Parking will be available in the Convention Center parking garage at the intersection of 1 Civic Center Plaza and S. Santa Fe St.
Garage will be open at 5:30a.m.
- Is there a pre-race pasta dinner?
- The Official Pasta Party place to be will be the Garden.
Located in the Union Plaza Entertainment district, the Garden happens to be next door to the finish line for all three races.

- Where does the race start?
- The Full Marathon race will start at the top of TransMountain Road at an elevation of 5200 ft.
The Half Marathon & 5K races will start and finish on Anthony St. in front of Union Plaza Park.
- How will Marathon participants get to the starting line?
- Buses will load full marathon participants starting at 5 a.m. on race day at the corner of San Antonio and Anthony streets.
